Buffy Between the Lines Season 2 will start in the Spring of 2008 and we’re looking for crew members. Click here to download the application (Word Document) and email it to us.

Most crew positions will run from March 2008 - Sept 2008 (this is an estimate).

Beta readers will be busy during Jan and Feb of 2008.

Managers will be busy from Jan - Sept 2008

Cast Positions Available for BBtL Season 2:

Crew Manager: Will make sure all crew deadlines are met (editors and everything from the Writing Manager, the Talent Manager, PR Manager and Music Manager). Must be extremely organized and be readily available to the Producers. Basic Excel skills required. Reports directly to producers. Time commitment: 3-4 hours a week.

Assistant Crew Manager: Will help Crew Manager with duties. Time commitment: 2-3 hours a week during production.

PR Manager: Organize the Bloggers, street team, podcasting liaison and public relations crew. Must be extremely organized and be readily available to the Producers. Basic Excel skills required. Reports directly to Crew Manager. Time commitment: 3-4 hours a week.

Bloggers/Writers: PR writers to write press releases and stories about the Between the Lines crew and cast. These guys will interview cast members and blog about it on the official Between the Lines blog. Need to be experienced in blogging, using WordPress and writing news and press releases. Please attach two samples of your writing to this application. Reports directly to the PR Manager. Time commitment: 1-2 hours a week.

Street Team: These people get “assignments” of things to do online to help promote the Between the Lines podcast. These assignments are usually brief and require basic online skills (like registering at sites and posting information). Reports directly to the PR Manager. Time commitment: less than an hour a week.

Public Relations: These are the people who contact bloggers, podcasters and other websites about interviewing or reviewing the podcast. Good written communication skills needed, as well as a basic understanding of the internet and the Between the Lines studios. Our public relations staff are the “face” of our production to the outside world so they must be uber professional. Reports directly to the PR Manager. Time commitment: 1-2 hours a week.

Podcasting Liaison: This person manages our promos and getting it on other podcasts. Must have a very good knowledge of the podcasting com-munity and the ability to do some research by listening to the podcasts they think to pitch. Must also know how to FTP and keep promos organized so we can swap them with others. Reports directly to the PR Manager. Time commitment: 1-2 hours a week.

Feedback Wrangler:
Finds reviews, comments and feedback for episodes. Knowledge of Bloglines, Google search and iTunes necessary. Reports directly to the PR Manager. Time commitment: 1-2 hours a week.

Editor Manager: Organize the editors and make sure deadlines are met. Must be extremely organized and be readily available to the Producers. Basic Excel skills required. Reports directly to Crew Manager. Time com-mitment: 3-4 hours a week.

Sound Editing (basic):
This level of sound editors are only responsible for editing out all the bloopers and misspeaks for the intermediate editors. Very basic editing skills needed. If needed we can teach people how to do this. Reports directly to Editor Manager. Time commitment: 2-4 hours a week.

Sound Editing (intermediate): This level of sound editors are only re-sponsible for putting together the voices for the scenes. Knowing how to use multiple tracks in your editing program is required. Also use of Levela-tor. Reports directly to Editor Manager. Time commitment: 2-4 hours a week.

Sound Editing (advanced): This level of sound editors are only for those VERY high experience with editing. These editors will take the voices and add all of the necessary effects including extra tweaking to make sure sounds match. Reports directly to Editor Manager. Time commitment: 2-4 hours a week.

Music/SFX Manager: Create lists and due dates for finding sound/music for episodes. Assist in finding them and managing the Music/SFX Finders. Reports directly to Crew Manager. Time commitment: 3-4 hours a week.

Original Music Creators:
If you can compose and create original sound-track style music for our production, please attach three samples to this application. Reports directly to Music/SFX Manager. Time commitment: dependent on what is needed.

Music/SFX Finders: These guys come up with lists of needed SFX and music based on scripts and then find them. Websites will be provided. Re-quires a lot of listening. Reports directly to Music/SFX Manager. Time commitment: 1 hour per week.

Foley Artists: People who can record needed sound effects that can’t be found online. Please attach two samples of sound effects you have re-corded to this application. Reports directly to Music/SFX Manager. Time commitment: dependent on what is needed.

Beta Readers: There are two types of beta readers - one is the style/grammar type. The other are consistency/content type. We need both. If you know any of the TV shows well and can point out continuity errors - we need you. If you are one of those people who noticed I misuse paren-thesis a lot, we need you too. Reports directly to Writing Manager. Only needed to read through all scripts during the first and second drafts (These positions are full).

Assistant Talent Manager: Our Talent Manager takes care of making sure everything is in on time from our voice talent. As an assistant talent manager you will be working directly with the Talent Manager by checking to make sure files are in. Requires basic Excel knowledge. Reports directly to Talent Manager. Time commitment: 1-2 hours a week.
